Smoking Dragon Festival 2016
The Smoking Dragon Festival is held annually from 29 - 31 December in the Drakensberg in KZN.
A music festival with a variety of bands, artists and DJ's over the 3 days, end with a New Year's Eve countdown and festival-goers ringing in the new year with music and fireworks, and a smoking, or burning dragon.
Depending on the type of ticket you buy, camping is the main option for accommodation. Just note that except in the VIP campground with manicured lawns and trees, general camping is in the veld, with no shade whatsoever and temperatures rising to probably higher 30;s.
